Dave pre-kiteboarding....
THIS WEEK:
Dave Loop has come a long way since his days with the band Screams of Pain. An avid windsurfer, Dave landed his dream job with Naish in 1997, first repping the company’s windsurf line, then their new kite line in the Northeast. Lou Wainman worked for Dave before he started kiteboarding. Dave ran into Lou at his first dealer meeting for Naish in Maui, and the two shared a good laugh. In 2001, he received an offer he couldn’t refuse and starting working for Wipika. In 2003, an incredible opportunity was presented to him and he opened H2Air in Dewey Beach, Delaware, a retail shop focused exclusively on kiteboarding gear, accessories and lessons. Dave is also the Northeast rep for Slingshot.
Dave has a long history in our sport and has many great stories to share. He will be in Cape Hatteras this weekend, helping Real Kiteboarding launch their grand opening for the start of the season by offering tech support and demos for the 07 Slingshot gear, including the new Turbo2 and Fuel kites. He is also contractually obligated to play music for attendees, although you’ll have to special request Screams of Pain originals, if you dare!
