CELEBRATING JESUS CHRIST!

About Me

I've been a singer/song writer for quite a while. Way back I played guitar in rock bands in the central Connecticut area. Had fun and made a couple of dollars. Before too long an amazing thing happened. I had a personal encounter with Jesus Christ. I had been raised in a Church, but let me tell you, it's a whole different ball game to encounter God on a personal level than to be led along in a tradition! Slowly but surely over time my music emphasis has turned from wordly things to songs about my beliefs. Sometimes it seems like there's just not enough words, or words perfect enough, or great enough to do my Lord justice. But I keep trying

My Interests

Music:

Band Members:At this moment, it's just me. Vocals, guitars, bass, a little keyboard, and percussion. That about does it...
Influences: A lot of classic rock though I think I'm kind of morphing into my own thing. I grew up listening to Zeplin, Alman Brothers, Dobbie Brothers, Deep Purple, ELP to name a few. Right now I don't listen to much secular other than a couple of Prog groups like Spock's Beard and Flower Kings. One of my favorite artists is Neal Morse who broke off from Spocks Beard to persue Christian music in a prog vein. I also listen to Casting Crowns, Chris Tomlin, Third Day. I enjoy a lot of the bands my son listens to although, I admit, I can't keep track of their names. I still enjoy breaking out some of the recordings of the early artist in Contemporary Christian music as well. People like Randy Stonehill, Phil Keaggy (outstanding guitarist) and Margret Becker. One of my all time favorites was a band called White Heart. Cool stuffs if you can track it down.
Sounds Like: Mostly you're gonna have to decide. I'd rather sound like me but I've been told at different times Clapton, Dylan and even Bowie. Clapton I listened to. But Bowie and Dylan not so much...

AND IN THIS CORNER... FAITH V/S SCIENCE

Okay, I may ruffle some feathers with this. Everyone wants to argue over evolution. I don't and here is why. It just doesn't matter to me whether creatures evolved or n...

WHAT ABOUT EMOTION?

Lately I've been in some very emotional services and they have been truly great! But some people are very undemonstrative about God. They approach faith with a seemingly cold and impassive demeanor. T...

ORDER, ORDER IN THE CHURCH

I was recently in a service that was just incredible. As the worship music moved along the Holy Spirit just seemed to build and permeate the building and everyone there. Finally, the pastor determined...

LIFT YOUR HANDS!

The first time I came across people who worshiped God with hands lifted up, I have to admit I was put off by it. I thought it was a bunch of theatrical nonsense. I had been raised on folded hands (or ...
