Manchester seems to be a hot bed for new talent at the moment, with The Courteeners and The Ting Tings slaying iPods nationwide. Rambo and Leroy are no let up - ploughing a different musical path to their peers, they exude confidence and class from every pore… and now finally, after spending months writing, and honing their unmistakeable sound, they’re set to release their debut single, ‘Last One Standing’, on April 14th on Limited edition vinyl and iTunes.
Following their first live shows in 2005, it didn’t take long for them to make a name for themselves – just over a year later they found themselves being asked to support the legendary New Order on the last night of their sold out tour. Countless glowing reviews have followed them as they’ve toured up and down the country, perfecting their craft and live show, and now they’ve decided the time is right to put their music to record…
Things haven’t stopped there. They’ve been incredibly busy, collaborating with Bernard, Phil and Steve of New Order, along with Alex James of Blur on a future project going by the name of ‘Bad Lieutenant’, which is fast taking shape. None of this has detracted from their current alias however, and 2008 will be the year of Rambo and Leroy.

"Sweeping, anthemic gestures, and a band who make grand entrances. They dont hide the fact that their ambitions are of stadium sized proportions. They’re incredibly slick - the singer/guitarist has a fantastic set up, edging from verges of feedback to jangles and crisp, attention grabbing distortion. Listen to the convincing rock of “Last One Standing†and there is plenty of substance that easily demonstrates why this band brought with them a gang of whooping fans – certainly ones to watch" – Manchester Music real editor best profile tools real editor best profile tools
