About Me

In 2001, sursie was formed by vocalist Star Scott and drummer Shannon Sausser , who crossed musical paths while on tour. This alluring duo quickly recognized each other as musical soul mates and began their prolific songwriting career together. Their musical styles naturally complement one another, forming a unique blend of dynamic vocals and melodic drumming in the studio and as a live act. They both view music as a medium to transcend boundaries and bring people together. Their shared dream of a life creating music and spreading positivity is fueled by a love and tolerance for all, and a desire to share that love with the world.
In 2005, sursie was transformed into a live experience creating a unique blend of positive vibes for your inner soul. Sursie is routinely joined by a rotating cast of musicians as well as visual performers, ranging from belly dancers to martial artists, and their live act is continually evolving as a multi-sensory experience. They have been fortunate to play with many talented artists along the way, including percussionist Eddie Glikin . Joining Sursie to record their upcoming new album is the king of the keys, Danny Roth , bass player Kurt Blankenship , guitarist Joel Byron, saxophonist Gnarly G , trumpeter Craig Sorrells , keyboardist Damian kapcala, Moyuba drum ensemble and more!
