About Me

I was born and raised in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. While in Dallas, I pursued an acting career, sang with a band and worked as a manager for a major jewelry chain. In 1991, I was made the manager of a location in New Orleans. While visiting a karaoke bar on Bourbon Street called Cats Meow , I sang a song and was offered a job as an emcee. I left the jewelry business and began performing on stage full time. While in New Orleans, I also became the lead singer for a popular local band called The Bucktown All-Stars . In April of 1997, I was offered a job in Cancun, Mexico at a club called Dady Rock and I moved to Cancun and worked there until I returned to Dallas in January of 1999. I worked as an actor in Dallas until February of 2001 when I returned to Cancun to work at Dady Rock for spring and summer break. I returned to the U.S. in November of 2001 and moved to L.A. in March of 2002. In July of 2007, I was a contestant on Don't Forget The Lyrics on Fox and I did pretty well! With the money I made on the show, I've decided to move to New York and try to make it in theatre.
But before I head to the Big Apple, I'll be playing the Beast in Disney's Beauty & The Beast and then Tateh in Ragtime for Starlight Theatre in San Diego. Performances are Thursday - Sunday nights in Balboa Park. Beauty and the Beast runs from August 9th - 26th and Ragtime is September 13th - 23rd. Tickets are available by calling the box office at (619) 544-STAR. For additional info you can visit the theatre website at www.starlighttheatre.org . Let me know when you're coming so that I can come out to see you after the show.
Now about me personally, I am a member of Mensa , my politics are left wing, I am an atheist , I am a secular humanist , I enjoy having discussions about politics, religion and anything else that is considered controversial as long as the conversations remain friendly and the participants remain open minded! I love theatre, music, and film but I also love science, technology, and physics. My wonderful girlfriend Marja recently moved to NYC to become a star on broadway. I miss her and love her.Well that's all I can think of now but if you have any questions, send me a message.
Thanks!
Luke
