Red Sirus

melodic & infectious. delicate, yet cacophonous.

About Me

Drawing their name from Sirus A, the brightest star visible from Earth, Belfast based art rockers Red Sirus are fast becoming the next most talked about export from Northern Ireland . They produce a brand of music that stands against any. Punchy & infectious, ethereal & evocative, confident & compelling.

The past 12 months has seen them share the stage with such luminaries as Snow Patrol, Bell X1, The Frames, The Ordinary Boys & The Buzzcocks, as well as appearances at high profile festivals such as the Electric Picnic.

Incendiary live shows, filled with musical drama and big on attitude, have seen them playing packed headline shows across the country, with both regional and national radio features, sessions & interviews. his includes live broabcasts & TV features at many of their live shows, on stations such as BBC 2, BBC Radio 1, RTE 2FM, Today FM and Radio Ulster. Their music has also been used in many film, documentary and TV soundtracks, including BBC Sport and the 'Greenie' windsurfing series.

Combining an intense touring schedule with regular national & regional airplay, the band have captured a devout & ever-increasing fan-base.

" An melodic punch, packing universal appeal."

(Channel 4)

"The next most talked about band from N. Ireland ."

(The Daily Ireland )

"A fine noise with confidence & panache. Pop that stomps all over you."

(Hot Press)

"It courses through you maniacally, then fades to a mere hint of a pulse, before then taking you up again. Heart-achingly beautiful."

(The Daily Ireland )

"Red Sirus ’ crack & fizzle makes for a heady brew, it’s all atmosphere and reaching, cascading soundscapes sewn together with an underpinning pop sensibility."

(Across the Line, BBC)
