About Me

Drifting Waves hit the shores of sunny Belfast earlier this year when Phil Moore, and friends, decided it was time the waves crashed and spread a little love, like on a sunny Mediterranean desert island - or something like that??
Phil has been writing songs for a number of years and has played in a wide range of venues across Belfast which included a regular weekend slot at a Belfast piano bar! After taking a few years out from gigging, he started writing new material and collaborating with friend, guitarist and producer Malcolm (Flash) Gordon - enter stage right Drifting Waves.
Since then Phil has played a number of solo gigs, as well as accompanied by Flash (on bass, 12 string and Tele) in local venues around Belfast and beyond, including the Rotterdam Bar, Lavery’s Back Bar, Clement’s Café at Queen’s University, and the John Hewitt.
Drifting Waves is a fluid musical project which will continue to grow as time goes on to encompass new sounds, songwriters and musicians. Currently they are working on an EP due out later this year.
