About Me

I am originally from Austin, Texas. I moved to Houston, Texas about three years ago for my career. The last year or so has been really good for me. I have been fortunate to travel around the country and make people laugh. I have worked hard to be where I am. I also do acting work and commercials; and I enjoy it alot--but I love standup the most. I love making people laugh, on or off stage. But, once you decide to quit your job and focus on being an entertainer, you go through some hard times. These are the times that decide whether you want to do this or not. And you learn every way there is to make ramen noodles. Thank heaven that those days are behind me. And I am NOT looking back. ************************************************************ ** ************************************************************ ** If you would like to purchase any of Big Ed's merchandise, go to www.Bigfunnyed.com. My Interests

Sex, drugs and rock & roll.........And Antiques Road Show.

I'd like to meet:

Most of the people I would like to meet are dead. I want to meet people who have made a difference in the world. MLK, Confucious, Ben Franklin, are just a few of the difference makers I would have liked to have met. Oh yeah, and Richard SImmons; Is he dead? The same goes for comedy. I would've liked to have met Rodney Dangerfield, Lenny Bruce, Chris Farley, and Phil Hartman. I did get to meet Mitch Hedberg toward the end.

Music:

My musical taste range widely. I like acts from George Strait to Lynkin' Park. Many of my memories throughout my life are tied to specific songs. Everything is better with music.

Movies:

Something About Mary, Half-Baked, Airplane, THe Usual Suspects, Above the Law, Band of Brothers, plus many more.

Television:

The Simpsons, Family Guy, Cheers, Taxi, Frasier, Will and Grace, Two and a Half Men, King of Queens. There are others, but you get the point. Good writing is very important. House, Bones, Law & Order, et al.

Books:

Books on tape. My favorite--Lord of the Rings as read by Cindy Lauper.

Heroes:

Anyone fighting for my freedoms. Hey, you men and women in the armed forces, keep up the good work. You guys rock & roll. I am looking forward to coming over and making you laugh. I can't wait.

Name droppers

There's nothing more annoying to me than name dropping.  We all do it, but I think we should be more selective when doing it.  It's o.k. to share the fact that we kn...
