After The Cobras folded in 1995, due to line up changes the guys decided to keep playing but with a fresh start. The first thing needed was a new name, the band name was taken from the Rockin' R's tune Nameless. Next they brought in a whole new set of songs and finally instead of having a lead singer the vocals were shared around. The result, a tight, compact and variable sound. The Nameless played mainly small venues up and down the country for about 5 years. All good things come to an end and so did The Nameless, the main reason for this was that Bill wanted to front his own band and Cliff and Dave didn't want to recruit a new drummer.
Dave gave up playing all together. Bill had been playing with a couple of other bands at the same time but after leaving The Nameless started his own Band called Memphis. Cliff later joined Memphis and stayed for about 18 months, he then turn his attention to gathering the original Cobras line up for a reunion. Cliff is currently playing with The Rock-a-tones together with Dave W who was also an original Cobras member.
