About Me

PAY ATTENTION HERE, PEOPLE!

While I don't mind getting friend requests, you really should try talking to me a bit first. I don't approve just anyone, as I'm not here to be a friend collector (something it seems too many engage in). In fact, I'll very likely deny your request if I haven't met you in person already or we haven't struck up communication here or elsewhere. I'm here to actually make some friends and run a part-time photography business, not rack up any numbers in some sort of popularity contest. That said........
Right. Instead of me posting a bunch of (insert adjective here) about me, how about you talk to me instead and then tell me about me. (lol)
NOTICE TO ALL IN THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY: I don't mind if you post comments here about upcoming shows. However, I will permit only one comment posted per show, not per person. This means that if there are multiple copies of the same show posted from several different people, only the most recent posting will be allowed to stay and older ones will be deleted as new ones show up. Also, comments for shows will be deleted the day after the show. If I feel that my comment section is being abused for show postings, I will disable HTML comments.

I am the house photographer at The Ritz in Warren, MI. It can be found in my top friends. I've been doing photography on and off for most of my life, and have decided to ply this particular trade once again.
If your band has played there on most any Saturday night and/or some of the Friday nights since The Ritz opened in July 2006, I very likely have some excellent pictures of your act in action onstage. Feel free to email me here or through Yahoo so I can arrange delivery of those pictures to you and your band.
I can also be booked for live shoots at other venues, promotional shoots on locations of your choice, and certain other types of photography.
I have fast lenses, use flash sparingly (I prefer to not use it at all, and do not need to 99% of the time), and have a pretty good idea how to make just about anyone or anything look good. I shoot both color and B/W, digital only.
Contact me to discuss rates by clicking the link immediately below. Yes, I'm very reasonable in both rates and terms.

This is the only warning you will receive. Don't let my profile fool you - I'm much stranger than it lets on, and I most certainly have not revealed much about myself here. (lol)
For those of you wondering about my band:

Red September

Want a good idea of who I am?
Take the quiz: "WHICH LORD OF THE RINGS CHARACTER DOES YOUR PERSONALITY MATCH?"

Aragorn

You're like Aragorn. You are brave and honest. You fight for the freedom of all and you do not give in easily. You would make a great leader but you are very independent and like time alone. You know your surroundings well and you enjoy being close to nature.

My Interests

Ask me. :) Here's the easy stuff: woodworking, Renaissance stuff, theatrical combat, computers, photography. Anything else ya gotta ask.On the theatrical combat, that is something I took up in February 2008 - and I must admit I am having the time of my life with it! I can hardly wait until my first performance (whenever that might be - I personally feel I still have a ways to go learning more of the skillset before I will feel comfortable actually performing).

I'd like to meet:

WOMEN!!!!! :D (actually, just about anyone - I'm always open to making new friends, but as I said above you really should try talking to me a bit first before sending an add req., as I tend to deny requests from people or organizations I don't know in some way)

Music:

Alt pop/punk, rock, 80's

Movies:

Star Wars, The Lord of the Rings, anything not on the beaten track or is at least pure escapism - Hollywood's running out of ideas it seems, and really all I want is to be entertained for a while. When I want to learn about something, I'll go buy a book. If I want a point of view, I'll read the news and such. Movies that espouse ANYTHING other than pure entertainment are nothing I wish to see.

Television:

The NEW Battlestar Galactica, Star Trek, Tripping the Rift, Law and Order SVU

Books:

The Lord of the Rings, anything by Tom Clancy or Stephen King (but especially the Dark Tower series) or Isaac Asimov - and I've turned into a big-time David Weber fan (he writes the Honor Harrington books - yes they're scifi)

Heroes:

Anyone who risks his or her own life for anyone else, but especially those who do so for people they don't even know or know about.
