The Recording Institute of Detroit is a state licensed trade school specializing in recording and music production. All of RID's instructors are graduates of the school and are knowledgeble as well as experienced in the subject matter they teach. The Recording Institute of Detroit has been operating as a recording arts trade school in music and audio production for over 30 years and constantly updates its programs and facilities to teach the latest techniques and technology.     School History
RID was established in 1974 by current school Administrator Robert Dennis, a legendary mastering engineer for Motown Records in their heyday who continued on doing mastering and engineering work for songwriting team Holland Dozier Holland.
