NO SHAME TO MY GAME!!!!MIX MASTER OF THE UNIVERSE: Gotta grace ya with my musical background some. First things, I'm a total music freak. It all started when I was 10 years old. How boring of an intro was that?. Let's try this again ;). Been spinning around 35 years, STRICTLY VINYL. My big bro taught me on 1500 Technics and I still have them believe it or not. My bro was a DJ on WBLS out of NYC, along with the incredible disc jockey of all the Frankie Crocker, THE CHIEF ROCKA. MAN was immediately hooked on vinyl watching my bro spin beat after beat. First record I ever bought was the Fifth Dimension's on a 45 vinyl. My first vinyl mixed was Flash Light by Parliment and the Barkays. Man, that was the ish back then. Fast forward---- My dance home was the Paradise Garage in New York every weekend, danced right next the dj booth with Larry Levan killing us with beat after beat. Yeah, I wore the tight shorts and tank top, all skinny and crap. Larry must of assumed I was a basehead,(I'm not dissing Larry, relax... those were the times). I almost passed the hell out when I was invited up to his both. That was Larry's thrown. The incredible Frankie Knuckles was Larry's friend, so I guess I was honored to. Larry showed me how to rock a crowd without selling out and keeping it tight with mixes. Man, I was amazed how he captured every soul in the place with his mixing skills. VERY FEW dj's can rock like Larry could, even today of many dj's. Everyone was hittin the scene hard, my choice was PURE MUSIC. Fast forward again to the mid 70's, early 80's. I got my first chance at dj-ing a the old Roxy roller rink when it was all skating, no clubbing. That was the hook that grabbed me to become a dj for life. My journey as a dj is incredible. Not rocking a big club now, but's it all good. My skills are tight as ever. I Never compromise, Never transparent, NEVER, EVER JUDGE A SINGLE BEAT. "FLASH LIGHT, NEON LIGHT..OHHHH STOP LIGHT". Peace and love to all who patiently read my shit so far.
