From the very first time that this tandem met in a local club, house music has been the binding force behind this DJ duo. The experience and knowledge that DJ Casimo Digiorgio brings is accompanied by the energy, enthusiasm and youth of Kevin Rogers. Whether they are in the studio producing, spinning together at home or in the club the goal remains the same, deep, sophisticated, quality house music. This duo comes to every gig prepared and able to play with 6 channels allowing them to simultaneously drop beats and acapella vocals while using the energy each other creates to build an unparalleled atmosphere in the club. The passion that they share for music provides endless fuel for their growth as artists.
Growing up in Brooklyn, NY, DJ Casimo Digiorgio’s first true house experience took place in 1991 when he frequented the original Sound Factory on West 27th Street in Manhattan, New York. He listened to and learned the craft of mixing from legends such as Lord G, Danny Tenaglia, Satoshi Tomiie, Junior Vasquez, David Morales, and countless others. Listening to all of the different styles has given Casimo Digiorgio a very wide range where he doesn’t hesitate to play deep underground house while still not shying away from the occasional quality popular remix. He has spun at venues in Manhattan including, West 8th, Global 33, Le Souk, and The Apt.
One night while DJ Casimo Digiorgio was spinning at a venue in New Jersey a young Kevin Rogers walked up to the booth and they began talking over a few of the tracks that Casimo had just played. They exchanged their contact information and within the next few days they began mixing together every afternoon over the course of three to four months. All of the afternoon sessions along with his knowledge of music from being a percussionist since grade school, helped to accelerate DJ Kevin Rogers growth as a DJ. Soon after, he landed his first residency on Friday nights at The Mansion in Brick, NJ. He gained a lot of notoriety for turning a lifeless Friday night party into the place to be every Friday night by packing in 300 people within the first three weeks. From this first residency spawned many other opportunities at venues such as, Pacha NYC, Deko Lounge, The Colosseum, Karma, Kat Man Du, and Metropolitan Lounge.
Impressed so much with DJ Kevin Rogers rapid growth as a DJ, Casimo Digiorgio encouraged Kevin to begin producing his own music. Again with his musical background, Kevin was able to quickly pick up the art of producing and remixing house music and leads the way for the duo as they create their own unique sound.
