Alex V

(Hmmm.....I suppose this is the part where bands promote themselves as being larger then life.. I'll give it my best shot. Let's start in the third person shall we?) Alex V. is a Chicago based singer-songwriter/enormous rockstar who has toured the U.S. and world opening up for various acts such as The Rolling Stones, U2, Pink Floyd and Tom Jones to name a few. Although relatively new to the music industry, V has easily secured his place in rock history. Originally a part the band "Blissfield", V enjoyed a quick rise to success on the college circuit. The band signed a groundbreaking 10 record deal with Sony Records and upon release of thier debut album "do what comes", the band quickly sold over a million copies in the first hour of sales. Sadly, shortly thereafter the band was dropped by the label due to a $1500 a day Faberge' egg habit: they'd buy them and then break them. Currently Alex V. is recording a new album in an effort to restore his somewhat diminished celebrity. riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.............Anyway, the real story is I'm a singer/songwriter from the Chicagoland area who was in a college band called Blissifeld with my close friends from highschool. We toured the Big Ten quite a bit, played a bunch of clubs in Chicago, got some airplay, blah blah blah. A hell of a good time. Buuuut low and behold life happens. We didn't really break up but we all had certain opportunities/responsibilties that prevented us from persuing music full time. So as time went on, the gigs became less and less. But music doesn't stop there for me because I'm always writing and recording. So in the next few months I'll be releasing an album and figured myspace would be a good place for friends to check out what I've being doing, get the word out,test out a few songs, and meet some new people. Anywhooooo.... no big "rock star" here.....just a guy who's been lucky enough meet and work with some incredible people doing what I love most. So check it out, drop me line, and tell your friends.
