Our music most often focuses on the blues and rock tunes of lead singer, songwriter and guitarist and keyboardist Deb E. Dee, but the music is creative and can be any style or fusion of styles. The music will be provocative, imminently danceable, and unforgettable, I promise.

about Deb E. Dee, who is organizing the band right now, though the Kimamas will be coming together in a practical practicing way starting next week: we are just all in differrent localities right now. I'm Deb, and I write most of these songs, sing them and arrange them, play guitar,bass and piano and keys and anything else I happen to pick up, paint a lot,and write a lot. I'm also a mad scientist specializing in plants, and spend as little time possible messin' with myspace, which is too much time because it is fun, and I enjoy meeting friends online that can't see the dust in my cabin and the dishes in the sink. I live a rather isolated life, out in nature by preference, but this little dial-up connection gives me an opportunity to socialize and communicate with the world at large,and plan for the band, for which I am very grateful.

with nothing on it yet.Like most unsigned musicians, I have had to work at a lot of other things to stay alive, but I've carved out a place to work and get it together, and the time to devote mostly to the music for the first time in a long time.
I have played in many clubs in Austin and Dallas,and with many luminaries,and have made a marginal living not with the club gigs, where more often than not I usally made very little, but from busking on the street. I did that in Austin for twenty years, raising children and paying rent and buying food. MUSIC IS MY PRIMARY INTEREST AND VOCATION.
I was good at busking.I played well, and tried to look decent, show up early to get my spot, kept my guitar in tune, went home late, staying for "the power hour" a street musician's term for the hours then clubs were closing, pouring happy and loose folks onto the street to listen to me sing 'Me and Bobbie Mcgee' thousands of times, and no,I never got tired of that song. I treated busking like the job that it was , and never asked for money, just kept my case open , and got them dancing.Once, the police,who usually harassed me unmercifully, just gave it up and did a line dance along with some of the delightfully dressed transvestite clientele from the club across from where I usually played at the corner of fourth and Colorado, as I regaled them with 'Dreamers Ball'.
Now I'm getting ready for the stage again. I have continued to write songs prolifically, however.The songs keep coming in ever greater numbers, now I have written hundreds of songs: I lost count long ago.....
I love to rock out and play the blues the most, and write and enjoy all kinds of music, but The Kimamas is primarily a rock project. The music on this site right now, is also a part of the Kimamas repertoire, and was
recorded in South Austin at Keylight studios by Deb E. Dee and the Daddycats, a band which included Larry Allen on bass, Leo King, who has also played for Stevie Ray Vaughn , and Noah Ramirez on Drums as well as session musicians Steve Hatch(drums), and David Johnson(keys and percussion.I wrote all six songs, play guitar, keyboad and keyboard violin, sing all parts, and also play all parts on the song 'Hundred and Ten'(All these songs, and eighteen more from the album Deborah Marie Doolan and Chief Rock), can be heard, and many downloaded at DEBEDEE.COM
Deb E. Dee and the Daddycats performed at The Black Cat, among a few other places, but the album was prevented from being released, and so it became another casualty of the war of the major labels versus the indies. I had to file a lawsuit to get the master back fom the manufacturers, and the analogue tape deteriorated over time, what you hear is a reproduction from an old cassete.
I have been in several bands,including the recording band for the CD Deborah Marie Doolan and Chief Rock, whose members included Spencer
Perskin on violin, and the illustrious Martin Banks on trumpet and Pflugelhorn, who is now passed on,and you can hear that CD on the debedee.com site as well.That eclectic CD was made after I had relocated to Blanco County, and is all about the Texas Hill country and it's people.
I was the recipient of the first grant awarded for a work of art in the State of Texas from T.R.C., because I have trouble walking and standing.
The people who helped me get the grant, said they didn't like the songs at all, and through various means, fought it's release, and told me they were having daily prayer meetings for me in their office. I said thank you, prayers were welcome.I wound up going to court four times to get the right to release this recording and correct the unconscienably bad manufacturing faults that made it skip, and the mispellings on the cover.The state at one point issued a court order to get me to bring all the CDs in to court, and I had given many of them away already, because they played on a few of the newer players with compensating mechanisms, and I said as I busked on "the Drag", Austin's Guadalupe Street across from the University, that "You taxes paid for this, enjoy, if it will play for you.I was recorded doing this by a local TV news channel, and so when the court found out that this news video existed, they ruled in my favor, and I didn't have to go to jail for selling them and not paying the taxes, and the CD was remixed, albeit still not well enough, because the recording was poorly recorded,and re-released in 2001, four years after the band had disbanded.You can buy the whole CD on my website at DEBEDEE.COM

The Nuremberg Principles were a set of guidelines for determining what constitutes a war crime. The document was created by necessity during the Nuremberg Trials of Nazi party members following World War II.Under UN General Assembly Resolution 177 (II), paragraph (a), the International Law Commission was directed to "formulate the principles of international law recognized in the Charter of the Nuremberg Tribunal and in the judgment of the Tribunal." In the course of the consideration of this subject, the question arose as to whether or not the Commission should ascertain to what extent the principles contained in the Charter and judgment constituted principles of international law. The conclusion was that since the Nuremberg Principles had been affirmed by the General Assembly, the task entrusted to the Commission was not to express any appreciation of these principles as principles of international law but merely to formulate them. The text below was adopted by the Commission at its second session. Any person who commits an act which constitutes a crime under international law is responsible therefore and liable to punishment.[edit] Principle II

The great promise of the internet may be that it brings us back to the future, so to speak.
