NERI PER CASO THE MOST FAMOUS ITALIAN A CAPPELLA BAND IN THE WORLD. THEY ARE 6 GUYS FROM SALERNO (NEAR NAPLES). MASSIMO, MARIO, MIMI’, GONZALO, CIRO AND DIEGO (the arrangers). DISCOGRAPHY LE RAGAZZE: This album, released in 1995, can be said as Neri per Caso’s best album. With 10 pure a cappella songs and Le Ragazze as the main single, it’s fans’ most favourite album. No wonder that the album was sold in 700,000 copies in only 5 months after the release date. STRUMENTI: Because of the great success of the first album, they were very sure that the second album would be a big hit as well. But though it was sold 250,000 copies in a relatively short time, Strumenti, released in 1996, failed. According to Neri per Caso it was because they had only 1 month of preparation, but other sources said that it was because they used instruments! That means that Neri per Caso in this second album don’t seem like Neri per Caso who is known as an a cappella group. This album isn’t that bad, though. It’s even quite unique, but rather disappointing for public who have fallen in love with their a cappella technique. ...AND SO THIS IS CHRISTMAS: Also in 1996, at the same time with an offer from Buena Vista to sing for one of "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" soundtracks, ...And So This Is Christmas was released. This English album contains some Christmas carols which were re-arranged and sung with Neri per Caso’s a cappella. NERI PER CASO: From some sources it was discovered that there were problems between Easy Records and Neri per Caso management. Neri per Caso then moved to EMI Italy. With enough preparations for a complete album (a cappella, music, original song, cover version), Neri per Caso was released in 1997. With the video clip of Quello Che Vuoi, which is also the main single, this album was quite successful, and Neri per Caso becomes identical with Quello Che Vuoi. NERI PER CASO EN ESPAÑOL: Following up their successful first tour to South America, they made the Spanish version of Neri per Caso in 1998. The songs are exactly the same with those in the Italian version album: Que Quieres Hoy (Quello Che Vuoi), Estare Yo (Io Ci Sarò) and Sueño (Sogno), plus 3 bonus tracks from Le Ragazze album: Las Chicas (Le Ragazze), Sentimiento Arrepentimiento (Sentimento Pentimento) and ’A Malatia ’E l’America. ANGELO BLU: Having had a long vacant period, they began to prepare a new album and released Angelo Blu, a complete and various album, in April 2000. There are songs composed and arranged by Massimo and contributions from other musicians. But because they used too much music (again), the selling isn’t very good in overall. Although Saràis the main single, their true fans prefer Good Morning Happiness and The Beatles’s Here, There and Everywhere, which truly "sound" more Neri per Caso. UNO INDONESIA: In the last part of April 2001, they released a compilation album titled Uno Indonesia. This album is released only in Indonesia and contains 15 songs: 3 from Le Ragazze, 2 from Strumenti, 5 from Neri per Caso, 4 from Angelo Blu and Denganmu, a very nice jazzy song from their collaboration with Indonesian band Bunglon. LA RACCOLTA: Was officially released on 7 June 2002, La Raccolta is a sort of "The Best of Neri per Caso" album. This album contains 17 songs: 5 from Le Ragazze, 2 from Strumenti, 4 from Neri per Caso, 4 from Angelo Blu and 2 new singles: Amore Psicologico and Tu Sei Per Me.
