Pilot to Co-Pilot has been rocking the friendly skies for years with little attention, due to the fact that they play very few shows. This Detroit-ish based sextet took a while to set their line-up although existing in some shape or form for the past four years. After setting the line-up, Pilot to Co-Pilot has just finished recording their first EP and has plans to at least triple the amount of shows they have played, all while drinking as much beer as possible.
The original founders of the band, Andrew Moore (guitar) and Evie Woods (bass/vocals) have played in so many bands together over the years they have officially lost count- the highlights however include Six Degrees of Separation and Making Eyes. Along the way Moore and Woods added Mount Pleasant native and pedal-junkie, Sam Conant on guitar/ ambient noise.
Brian Fredenburg initially filled a temporary spot due to the fact that he's in two other bands Mean Mother, and Ganon. His provisional spot quickly turned into a regular spot thanks to his pure awesomeness and amazing ability to balance three bands.
After seeing how Fredenburg could handle three bands Jason Shrum was drafted to fill another guitar spot upon Conant's exit to Chicago. Shrum who is also in Today I Wait and Mean Mother rounded out the line-up bringing his hot-ass guitar licks to the group.
Penny Kelly was brought in from the onset of Pilot to Co-Pilot and although this is her first band one could not tell from her sweet melodic vocals that are the heart of the band.
