Cool Slideshows I am most well known for being a DJ. I guess I'm also famous for being a party promoter and former club owner. My friends & I have created a new underground dance scene in Oklahoma.... [btw] OKLAHOMA CITY is waaaaay KICKASS (anyone who disagrees obviously doesn't attend the same parties I do)!!! The crazy kids who patronize our dance parties will quite literally shake it on any and all things that will hold their weight, jump around and act like tards, and rampage any and all things in a club that might be breakable... all while doing rockstar poses as cameras flash around them. Oh & I have a passion for dj-ing at art, fashion & rock shows.
I tend to be a loner and am incredibly shy unless I'm around friends. Quite often my shyness is mistaken as snobbiness. I get bored very easily and totally have ADHD... and I don't mind admitting that I do have OCD as well (especially when it comes to my profile or how my money is arranged in my wallet). I love the nightlife and if good music is playing...my short ass will be dancing. I, unfortunately, have become quite infamous for getting a little outta control when I party. I amazingly look like Elvis Costello. Everyone says my parents rock and I completely agree! I tend to play video games when I should be sleeping and can't help but stay up all night. I am a deep thinker...however, I'm easily confused and usually oblivious to the obvious. People I know probably would say I talk way too much, however, if I don't know you... I'll barely utter a word. I have more friends than anyone I know, yet i'm lonely and depressed. I am always in the mood for some TACO BELL. For some reason I eat cheap, frozen pizza almost daily and have not grown tired of it. I just can't get enough of driving my "beat to all hell" Acura RL. I turn beet red when people brag on me and try to get away quickly. I really have a HUGE problem with speeding. I wish they still made SMURF BERRY CRUNCH cereal. I have "restless leg syndrome" and it drives me absolutely crazy. For some reason, really tall women find me attractive. I wouldn't mind having a girlfriend, but unfortunately the only women that seem to chase after me are either married, crazy, or 17 years old. I do trust that one day I will find true love. Extreme Makeover "Home Edition" tends to make me cry. I am very passionate when it comes to my beliefs, my music and where I call home. No matter what you ever do to me, I will always forgive you. I don't worry about being taken advantage of cuz I let GOD settle my scores for me. I love helping the little guy and always try to be fair in all my actions. I yearn to do what is right, but it seems like I'm always messing up. My FAITH is undeniably unshakeable and I can be extremely stubborn. It brings me joy by entertaining people and have been doing it my entire life. The more famous I become... the more I dislike it. I have many nicknames like Special Ed, King Edward, the Crunkster, Crunky, Crunkalicious, Crunkzilla, Sir Crunkalot, Sir Edward, Edwardicuss, Eduardo, Edwierdo, Eduardo the retardo, Edophile, Edvard, Don Duardo, Dolian of Dwardolia, Ed Crunch, Crunknasticuss & the UltraCrunkula. OH, and I only drive JAPANESE cars and I give MYSPACE way too much of my time. (please click the DANCE ROBOTS, DANCE logo to check out our supa fabulous and uber talented dj crew)I grew up in OKLAHOMA CITY and started goin out to clubs in 1990, but was introduced to the rave scene when I moved to DALLAS in 1992 (which is also the same year I started dee-jaying). I first started playing at the WRECK ROOM in 1993 when i moved back to OKC.
From 1995-1999 I co-owned 3 famous & beloved Oklahoma City clubs, the ELECTRO BITCH MAGNET, STAR SEVEN DISKOTEK & EBM 2, (which were all really just one club that moved twice). I also was the co-owner of an underground record store, ONE TRIBE RECORDS, for 7 years (1993-2000). JEREMY DAWSON of SHINY TOY GUNS was a partner in one of the clubs and a former roomate as well. Upon moving back to Dallas in 2000, I was given the honor of being part of KID ICARUS' prestigious PROTOTYPE INDUSTRIES dj crew. In 2005 I returned to OKLAHOMA CITY and co-founded the DANCE ROBOTS, DANCE! dj crew as well. My favorite styles to spin are 80's, 8-BIT, ELECTROPOP, BOOTY HOUSE, INDIETRONICA, NEWAVE, NU RAVE and DANCE ROCK and have been at the forefront of these musical scenes in DALLAS and OKC. I have regularly played in Tulsa, Dallas, Little rock, Wichita, Fayetteville (ark), Springfield (mo), and have also played in Los Angeles [star shoes], Las Vegas [beauty bar], Houston, Austin [airport 1], Memphis [juicy 3], Columbia (mo) [the historic BLUE NOTE], some field in the middle of Iowa (ravestock) & too many little towns in Oklahoma, Arkansas & Texas to mention. I also have the distinction of being SHINY TOY GUNS 1st tour manager (and probably their worst as well). People like to introduce me as the GODFATHER of the OKC dance scene; but this makes me laugh cuz I couldn't have accomplished anything without the help of my parents, the sweat & talents of all my friends and just simply building upon the foundation stones that the pioneers of the OKC dance scene (Tony Aco, dj Love & James Hawley) laid. I am also considered a legendary dj in DALLAS as well and am introduced that way everytime I am back in big D! Which I have to thank Jeremy Word, Prototype Industries & 32 Degrees for giving me that notereity. I've played with an assload (a huge ghetto booty load to be accurate) of the biggest named dj's and dance bands in the world. The largest rave I ever played at had 15,000 people at it.My real name is JAMES EDWARD SMITH.
I am by no means a religious man, but I am a BELIEVER and try my best to serve CHRIST and my fellow man.
