Solo on "Milestones"
..Born in Ferrara in 1975. At the age of 11 he begins taking private classical Piano lessons. He soon becomes interested in afro-american music , becoming part of many funk, soul, jazz and pop bands and following Jazz Piano masterclasses and clinics with Andrea Beneventano ('"Università della Musica" in Rome), Bruno Cesselli, Riccardo Zegna, Enrico Pieranunzi, Stefano Bollani. In 1999 he moves to Milan where he meets Daniele Epifani, Massimo Ielmini, Antonio Vilardo, and the cuban music tradition. Then he works with many cuban and south-american musicians: many projects with Dany Martinez, Gabriel Clemente, Eduardo Cespedes; Pepe Espino's "La Raza Latina" Big Band with El Chato, Adolfo Orta; with Dennis Torres as opening band for NG La Banda. He lives many musical experiences in appearently very different environments, from jazz and latin jazz with Eduardo Cespedes, Simone Guiducci, Dany Martinez, Giorgio Signoretti, Nicola Fazzini, Gendrickson Mena... to progressive rock (with Moongarden), or acid-jazz (with Fausto Redorici, Tiziano Zanotti and Marco Barbieri's "Funkallero"). In 2000 he works with Michelle Chappel in the CD "Simple Graces". He is one of the founders of Rootless, recording in 2005 "Brian Had a Little Plate". He is also an Electric Bass player and composer. Since many years he works with Alex mantovani's Cartoon Studio "Pseudotoonlab" as a soundtrack composer. Eclectic musician, he doesn't believe in a categorizing of music (or other art forms) in "genres", but instead in the coexisting of many different languages, which have to be understood, lived and "rusted" with each one's experience, and having the common goal of communication. Those languages are never static. And when they become static, o lose their communication goal, they are dead.
