Our site was lost by a virus !! Along with losing our profile we lost all our friends!! All 878 of them!!! We hope to have this site up and running but it will take awhile to get it like we had it. By adding us as a friend on myspace you can help get the word out to people who can make a difference.Send us a friend request, its something little you can do to save a life!The Bea Martin Peck Animal Shelter is still a private, non-profit shelter operating by the same philosophy under which it was established over 50 years ago through the tireless efforts of its staff and volunteers. The shelter provides many services to our community, while caring for homeless and desperate animals. The Bea Martin Peck Animal Shelter is located at 230 West 19th Street in Ottawa, KS and is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 1-5:30 and Saturday from 9-noon. A new shelter building is desperately needed in order to safely house and care for the animals that come into our facility. The shelter take in about 2000 animals a year, mostly cats and dogs. Our old facility is too small and its falling down around us. Most of the dogs have to be kept outside in heat and cold and we have no good way to isolate new or sick animals from healthy adoptable animals. A new facility will give us the space we desperately need and the ability to isolate new or sick animals for the adoptable animals. With the help and support of caring people like you, we are getting closer to providing the community and animals with the new facility. We are 50% funded towards our goal.
