LION DBiografiaLion D (David Andrew Ferri) vive a Pesaro ma nasce a Londra, nel 1982, da madre italiana e padre nigeriano. Inizia ad appassionarsi al reggae nel periodo delle scuole superiori, dopo aver visto dei videoclip di Bob Marley. Tra il 2001 e il 2002, assieme a due amici, con i quali ha in comune la passione per il reggae, nasce il sound Burnin’ Melody. Con Burnin Melody organizza le prime dancehall, e comincia cosi’, ad addentrarsi in un mondo del tutto nuovo, un mondo che cambia radicalmente il suo rapporto con la Musica..da passivo in attivo.. Comincia cosi’ a prendere dimestichezza con il microfono, e ad intrattenere le prime massive. Il tempo passa, e David partecipa anche a serate con altri sound (Kaya Sound, Wadada Sound, Clean Heart, I-Tal Sound e altri..) e approfondisce sempre piu’, la tecnica di sing-jay. Nel corso degli anni la passione diventa qualcosa di più, e si esibisce in numerose dancehall in giro per l’Italia, presentandosi alla massive con il suo show in stile “conscious”. Si e’ esibito in pubblico anche in occasione di concerti di artisti di fama nazionale (come Sud Sound System, Villa Ada..) e internazionale (come Jah Mason, al Rototom Sunsplash 2007; o nell’ambito dancehall con sound come Pow Pow Movement, dalla Germania, David Rodigan, Zion Train, dall’Inghilterra ecc..) Nel maggio 2007 pubblica il suo primo album, prodotto da Kaya Sound, dal titolo Keep The Fire Burnin’ , e nel luglio dello stesso anno esce con il suo primo singolo Keep The Fyah Burnin’, sul ritmo Israelites Part II, prodotto dalla Bizzarri Records. Oltre a poter offrire uno spettacolo inna showcase style, con il silekta che mette le basi, ora Lion D si esibisce anche accompagnato da una vera e propria band, composta da 5 musicisti, Maga Dawg band..LION D BiographyLion D (David Andrew Ferri) lives in Pesaro (Italy), but he was born in London in 1982 , of Italian mother and Nigerian father. He starts becoming fond of reggae at the college, after watching some Bob Marley’s videoclips . Between 2001 and 2002 he founds Burnin Melody sound, with two friends sharing his passion for reggae . So he starts taking part to the first dancehalls with Burning Melody, getting into an entirely new world, a world that will change his relationship with music .In this way he starts becoming familiar with the microphone and entertaining the massive. Time passes and David takes part to performances with other sound-systems : Kaya Sound,Wadada Sound, Clean Heart Sound Station, I-Tal Sound, etc… and improves his sing -jay tecnique more and more. As time goes on, his passion turns into something more and he performs in several dancehalls around Italy, introducing himself to the massive with his own “conscious” show .His performances have taken place in occasion of concerts of Italian artists (as Sud Sound System, Villa Ada) and foreign artists (as Jah Mason, at Rototom Sunsplash 2007; or in the dancehall with Sounds as Pow Pow Movement, from Germany, David Rodigan, Zion Train from England, etc.)In may 2007 his first cd, named Keep the Fire Burning produced by Kaya Sound is out
