Ras Tewelde

Ras Tewelde is a young and conscious Rasta singer born in Naples, Italy. At the end of the nineties, as RaskaDread, he started composing and playing live in the 'Living in the Ghetto', one of the first Italian reggae Band. During the following years, this talented and versatile vocalist and writer continued to gain experience through various projects, including the 'River Nile'. In 2004 he was in Ethiopia where his faith as Rastafarian was made stronger. There, as Ras Tewelde, he had the possibility to collaborate with the ethiopian singer Dawit Geletu, with the song and the videoclip 'Belsrà'. In 2006 he produced his first 7inch 'Jah a di Teacha' that was distibuted in Italy, Germany, Spain, Portugal, France, Switzerland. In march 2007 he finally reached Kingston, Jamaica, where he colaborated with important jamaican artists, as Lutan Fyah, Half Pint, Teflon, Dean Frazer, Sly&Robbie, Bongo Herman. So, just waiting for the first album!..
