I've been singing compulsively since I was small. Now my kids are the same I realise how much it's in the genes. At the age of 15, I sang the role of 'Mother' in Menotti's 'Amahl and the Night Visitors', I headlined the Southend Proms with 'Rule Britannia!' at 18, got a music degree, did a few years with The London Choral Society under Ron Corp/Jane Glover, had the girls...then along with Kanako, another mad mum, who I met in Afro dance, have gigged round London with 'Kanako and the Numbskulls'.(check the MySpace) Currently concentrating more on African dance training but recording whatever Kanako throws at me for the new album, 'Sixteen Bridges'. As you'll see from the photos I need to let off steam doing Carnival...maybe the next project will be some soca or bashment ha ha (think I'll leave that to my friends!) Won't bore you with any particular details.
