ThaMuseMeant & the Anti-Folk Alliance

About Me

ThaMuseMeant's 7th album is out and available at Frogville Records. The record is called "Never Settle for Less" and has some of the finest tracks TMM has ever recorded. Got get it, tiger!
"Building on the sweet jangle of bluegrass but tilting its face to absorb the rays of modern folkgrass, alt country and gypsy jazz, ThaMuseMeant entangles a crisp rural twang, a lazy front porch rumble, and a sneaky, creeping story quality of mischief, sinister parlours and shadowy, back corners of smoky pubs, all wrapped up within the unassuming voice of guitar, mandolin, fiddle and the common country folk get-up. Standing out as a favorite among the jam band and bluegrass scene, their ability to inject innovation into well worn, exhausted genres, especially with Amiee Curl's spooky, distinctive vocals, gives this gang of musicians the striking talent to light a fire under the ass of good, ol' time music."
~"Silver Seed" Review from CD Baby.com
ThaMuseMeant has been metamorphing and jamming beautiful music off and on for twelve years, always a road and festival favorite garnering fans from sea to shining sea. For seven years they were based out of Santa Fe and sometimes Austin while honing their craft. After four albums (Live at the Mineshaft Tavern- '95, Breakfast Epiphanies- '97, Sweet Things- '98, Grow Your Own- 2000) and hundreds of live shows, they took a brief hiatus, then reformed in Portland Oregon in late 2002.
The Original Trio:
Aimee Curl- vox & bass
David Tiller- mandolin & funny hats
Nathan Moore- vox, guitar, chief songwriter
(Jeff Sussman- played drums for seven years, then retired from the road)
ThaMuseMeant NOW!
Enion Pelta- fiddles
David Tiller- mandolins, bazookee, banjo
Aimee Curl- vox and upright bass
Nathan moore- vox, guitars (still chief songwriter)
TMM might be looking for a drummer that can live in the moment and has impeccable rhythm.. AND has a personality and ease that vibes right with the band.
Frogville Records put out their goodbye tapes as (5th unofficial) NUDES in 2003 which is now out of print. In 2004 Frogville released the eagerly anticipated new TMM record SILVER SEED which has reunited them with their fans and has made them thousands more fans across the West coast and rocky mountains.
