About Me

Peer Pressure Productions was a DYI (do-it-yourself) company that produced records/ tapes/ CDs, promoted concerts, published the fanzine "Biodegradable" and generally tried to support the underground music scene in Huntsville, AL during late-80s and early-90s.The company was inspired by the DYI ethics of Dischord Records and the early 80s punk/ hardcore scene in Washington, DC and by the movie "Another State of Mind."Peer Pressure Productions released nine recordings between May 1989 and April 1995 including Huntsville, AL bands: Random Conflict, Square Sheep, The Order of Flagellants, Dyslexia, a 1991 compilation of 12 Huntsville bands (Angry Kids Unite), as well as a 7" by With Authority (Bloomington, IN) and a 7" by W.O.R.M.
