Born the daughter of a Baptist preacher and raised in small town on the outskirts of Chattanooga, TN, music has always been the focal point in Elaine’s life. Playing piano by the age of three, she got her musical legs singing and playing in church. While in high school, Elaine sang and played keyboard for a local rock band, Alethea. After graduation, she joined the band Sidewinder as keyboard player/vocalist and they traveled over the southern states opening for the Dixie Dregs, Black Oak Arkansas, as well as other bands. Tired of traveling, her next venture led her to a stint at the Chattanooga Choo-Choo’s Station House, leaving there after a couple of years for the Sheraton Library Lounge. Elaine then joined Danny Shirley, pre-Confederate Railroad, and sang and played keyboards in clubs in the Chattanooga area. A chance meeting with Roger Alan Wade led to her hitting the road once again, with them opening for Billy Ray Cyrus, Mickey Gilley and others. She eventually moved to Nashville and in addition to playing and singing with Roger as well as doing some studio work, Elaine began pursuing a recording career. After interest by several producers, major labels and even a production deal, faced with personal trauma and illness, Elaine left Nashville for a few years. Now she is back, piano tuned, vocals .., ready to do what she loves best.....make music!
