I'm a student/teacher/performer of North Indian classical dance (Kathak) and music (vocal and sarode). My teachers include two incomparable world renowned masters of North India: Kathak master Pandit Chitresh Das (www.kathak.org) and legendary maestro Ali Akbar Khan (www.aacm.org). Look for me, tabla player Jason Fellin and sarode player Megan Yalkut in Denver/Boulder.
Officially I'm an ethnomusicologist by trade - it's a field combining anthropology and the study of music, which means I get to do these and other things I enjoy and put them on my c.v. too: music, dance, study languages, read, write and explore the meanings of real people making music and dance... and work as an arts advocate.
