About Me

Conran Holdings, of which I'm Chairman, started its life in 1990, managed out of an apartment at Butlers Wharf comprising one restaurant, one shop and a small design studio. From this passion has grown a business which includes restaurants & shops and hotels in 10 cities worldwide. Interest in design led me to found the Design Museum in London - http://www.designmuseum.org/ . I'm currently the Provost of the Royal College of Art - http://www.rca.ac.uk/.We still have the same aims and beliefs that we did when we first began – to offer our customers excellent quality, first class service and competitive prices in pleasant surroundings. This is the common purpose behind all our activities and the abiding principle to which I hold, whether as a designer, retailer or restaurateur. Our managers and staff all enjoy a high degree of responsibility for the success of their own businesses, each of which has developed its own distinctive personality and character and has its own loyal band of customers. The many creative teams at Conran consistently produce innovative designs for architecture, interiors, graphics and homewares, while The Conran Shop sells a carefully chosen selection of contemporary, well-designed furniture and home furnishings, much of which is exclusive.Browse our website for more information on The Conran Shop sales, special offers, licensed Conran Collections and new product launches.http://www.conran.com/If you're interested in design & architecture, check out Conran & Partners, http://www.conranandpartners.com/index.php
