JEFF MILLER was the character portrayed by the late TOMMY RETTIG on the American television series Lassie from 1954 until 1957.

Tommy was born in New York on 1941 DECEMBER 10. At the age of six, he made his stage début in a touring production of Annie Get Your Gun starring MARY MARTIN & his first film was Panic in the Streets (1950) followed by The Jackpot (1950); Two Weeks with Love (1950); For Heaven's Sake (1950); The Strip (1951); Elopement (1951);Weekend with Father (1951); Gobs and Gals (1952); Paula (1952);The Lady Wants Mink (1953); The 5,000 Fingers of Dr. T. (1953); So Big (1953); River of No Return (1954); The Raid (1954);The Egyptian (1954);The Cobweb (1955); At Gunpoint (1955);The Last Wagon (1956); Marilyn (1963); & The Story of Lassie (1994)

His first television appearance was on Kraft Television Theatre in 1949. Besides Lassie, he also appeared regularly on the short lived series, Never Too Young. His guest appearances were on Four Star Playhouse ; Your Play Time ; Omnibus ; the Ford Television Theatre ; the Pepsi Cola Playhouse ;Schlitz Playhouse of Stars ; Whirlybirds ; Studio One ; The Man from Blackhawk ; Lawman; Wagon Train ;Peter Gunn ; Sugarfoot ; Death Valley Days ; Many Happy Returns ; Mr. Novak ; The Fugitive ; & The New Lassie .

Tommy was an advocater of legalizing drugs & because of this, he ran afoul of the law on a number of occasions. In 1984 while doing a search on a computer, he decided that he could do better ... & did. He became a software developer & wrote a number of books on the subject.

TOMMY RETTIG died in 1996 in Marina del Rey, California. He had been divorced & the father of two sons.
