About Me

Photographer and videographer of all and everything. Maker of something out of nothing. Teller of stories with no point nor end. Sharp, detailed, clear memory. Phantasmagorial lifestlye. I've seen 24 hours in a day too many times. Grindcore pioneer. I'm in the front row... with a lighter. I don't think I'm as happy without a camera in my hands, looking through the lens.Available for photographic work.

My Interests

My beautiful wife, Rosemary. Photography of the late 1960's and early 1970's, music, cooking, German beer (KOLSCH!), American micro-brewed beer (SIX POINT - Brooklyn! and Twin Lakes - Delaware!), Belgian beer, National Bohemian Lager, fine food, wine, artisanal cheeses, world travel, the road less traveled, all foreign languages of this dying soon to be fully homogeneous world, Germany and Germanic culture , and NASCAR.

I'd like to meet:

Ventriloquists, Canadians, and cheese sommeliers. Cool people in general that like heavy music and photography.

Music:

GRINDCORE, GRINDCORE, GRINDCORE!!! I am a huge fan of of stright up blast beat Grindcore as well as metal, indie rock, noise, roots country, classical (whatever NPR plays).Favorite bands include: Discordance Axis, His Hero Is Gone, Assuck, Brutal Truth, Keelhaul, Nasum, Isis to name a few...Frustrated musician, that's why I photograph bands.Bands I have photographed and have been lucky to have my work published in magazines or on CD/LP releases:27, Anodyne, Brutal Truth, Burnt By The Sun, Lick Golden Sky, He Who Corrupts, American Heritage, ISIS, Keelhaul, Alabama Thunderpussy, Pig Destroyer, Suffocation, Kiss The Cynic, Playing Enemy, Slacks, Mastodon, Versoma, Dysrhythmia, Swarm of the Lotus, Meatjack, Hot Cross, Dillinger Escape Plan, Solace, Ken Mode, Discordance Axis, High On Fire, Nile, Lethal Aggression, Exhumed, Origin, Halo, Time In Malta, Deceased, Theory of Ruin, Yattering, Solace, Fuck the Facts, Darsombra, Dying Fetus, Javelina, Irepress, Bloodhorse, Rosetta, Gates of Slumber, Gridlink, Haiyano Daisuke, Baroness...Record labels that have used my work include: Relapse Records, Escape Artist Records, Infernal Racket, Translation Lost... still working on this one.

Movies:

Sometimes, my life is a movie.

Television:

I produced the 2003 Relapse Records Contamination DVD x 2 at the Trocodero Theater in Phildelphia, Pennsylvania. I was the producer/unit production manager for the video taping portion of the event. I hired the technical director, the mobile truck unit that sat outside the venue, hired an extremely talented crew of camera operators and utility grips. I hope to have another opportunity to work on such a professional production with such awesome people.

Books:

Wish I had more time to read. I will read newspapers that I pick up during my travels abroad. Always like to check out the local and regional news of a city I am working in. Reading Time magazine, but sometimes I am reading the previous weeks issue before I get to the next weeks current issue.I also like to read the phone book in my hotel room, look to see if someone has my name and call them up.

Heroes:

Ed, my personal fitness trainer. Herr Michael Wegener. Mr. Lambert Reid. Mr. Terry Harrison. Mr. Charles Campbell. Mr. Stanley Adelson. Spasm. Nugget.
