The Derailers

The train keeps a rollin'

About Me

In a career that has given rise to more than a decade’s worth of fine-tuned, highly anticipated and wonderfully received music, the Derailers continue to build the relationship between song, listener and dance floor. Challenged by their fans to create a sound that mirrors the shuffle of happy boots on a hardwood floor, the Derailers have fed the hungry dancehall crowds with their classic country beats and a 60s pop sensibility.Frontman, lead guitarist, and songwriter Brian Hofeldt has revamped the lineup of the group with the addition of a barrel-house piano player, Sweet Basil McJagger, along with ever-steady band mates Ed Adkins(bass), Scott Matthews(drums), has given the Derailers a fresh, but recognizable momentum to the sound fans have come to love and expect. Longtime contributor, pedal steel guitar player extraordinaire Chris Schlotzhauer also joins the boys on a regular basis and has stepped up to the plate with his harmony voice to lend a hand in keeping that Derailer sound intact.
