Bangla Hope ( www.banglahope.org ) is a non-profit, non-government organization (NGO).
Bangla Hope is in the business of planting and cultivating hope in children's hearts in Bangladesh, the poorest country in the world.
We are a benevolent, charitable organization, organized exclusively for the purpose of providing educational and religious instruction, education materials, dormitory housing, food, clothing, and medical care for the support and care of impoverished children and their families in Bangladesh.
Imagine a country with half the population of the United States (125 million people) occupying a land mass the size of Washington State. Now add a Hurricane Katrina every other year or so, and extreme poverty, and you begin to get a feel for the conditions in Bangladesh.
