About Me

Header Banner Made with MyBannerMaker.com! Click here to make your own!The music of Autumn McEntire portrays her heart with honesty and simplicity. Her voice, unique and easy, tells her stories of life and love in a way all her own. The music from her childhood is lined in her melodies with influences from country (Trisha Yearwood), pop (Sheryl Crow), and acoustic rock (Jewel and Patty Griffin).Autumn knew at an early age that she would one day move to Nashville, Tennessee to pursue a dream of making music. She grew up in small town, rural Oklahoma learning songs from the radio, guitar chords from her father, and three part harmony from her musical family. Autumn is the niece of country music legend Reba McEntire and country-gospel singer Susie Luchsinger. Needless to say, her musical legacy runs deep. At age 12 Autumn, her two sisters, and her father formed a second generation singing group called "The Singing McEntires". They performed for audiences all over Oklahoma, Texas, Missouri, and Kansas for most of Autumn's teenage years. Autumn began writing songs in high school. She wrote about her heart, her family, and even composed parodies for school pep-rallies. Finally, Autumn realized her childhood vision and moved to Nashville only two weeks after her high school graduation. In the fall of 1997, Autumn enrolled at Belmont University in Nashville, a southern known college with a School of Music Business. With a band of her fellow students and a few original songs in her pocket, Autumn made a name for herself on campus when she was featured in several school showcases including "The Best of The Best Showcase" held at the historic Ryman Auditorium. Upon graduating in 2001 with a degree in Music Business, Autumn signed a songwriting/publishing contract with Still Working Music Group, a Barbara Orbison company. Over the next three years, Autumn wrote and recorded her debut album with songwriter/producer Tommy Lee James. She also received her first cut on Big Machine recording artist Danielle Peck's debut album. The song entitled " Kiss You On The Mouth" was released on Danielle's album in June of 2006.Later that year, Autumn joined forces with Nashville producer Jamey Perrenot and began writing and recording her second solo album. The album is due to be released in 2008. Autumn describes her new material as "...a definite reflection of where I am in my life...a little more confident, a little less lonesome."Autumn currently lives in Nashville with her husband Mark and her dog Lenny.
