About Pakko

**Updated** I'm currently working at Saatchi & Saatchi LA and likely will stay here for a long time. Lovin' it. I'm an Art Director, Director, Writer and idea generator working for advertising agencies. I'm from Mexico City, but currently I am in the United States. I travel a lot back and forth between Mexico City and L.A., all depending on the project however, it seems that due to the new influx of creative talent hailing from Mexico City (Alejandro Iñárritu- Babel .., Guillermo Del Toro- Pan's Labyrinth , Alfonso Cuarón- Children of Men ) it looks like I will be working quite a bit in L.A. at times. Feel free to rant with me via messenger. Add me:

Do you want a music player for your myspace page like mine? Get one here .
I've got my own personal website with some of my crazy ideas here: www.pacodelatorre.com
I also have a blog that I try to update everyday, but not consistently: www.hastalacreative.com

As if it wasn't enough, I try to mantain this website related to Advertising voting. Check out my Ad Gunner site here .

This one is a crazy experimental thing I produced. In one scene towards the end, I had to go underwater in freezing cold water at 2:00 am for a long time to get this scene completed. Ouch.
Check out: RED CEREBRO .

Now, here is a ridiculously expensive TV spot I produced with Enrique Iglesias. Yeah, you don't have to tell me. I already learned my lesson. ERITMO :30 SEC TV SPOT

Going the opposite way, I created this little short film with zero dollars. I just used my little Canon digital camera.
See: MEXICO CITY D.F.

In this spot, I climbed inside a drying machine. Well, almost. But you can almost see my "balls" at the end. Oops.
SIX FLAGS :30 SEC TV SPOT.

This isn't a TV Spot, but rather an animation sequence for AVEDA. View AVEDA ID.

There are many other film projects of mine, but the one I am most excited is coming up soon. I can't mention it yet, but I will as soon as it is ready.

***UPDATE***

After careful observation of Myspace, I have come to the conclusion that over 70% people here will have the following things in their profiles, but not me:

1. Has 'Tila Tequila' as their friend.

2. The music they like include: My Chemical Romance, The Used, Green Day, Killers, or Kottonmouth Kings.

3. They all hate drama and fake people.

4. Have a music video playing on their page.

5. Your computer is more likely to freeze when logged on people's pages if you have an older model due to the over-pimped out features.

6. We will see this "This profile was edited with Thomas' myspace editor" somewhere in their profile.

Of course, let's not forget that 90% of the typical conversation that occurs around here goes along the lines of:

-"Hey, don't you have a myspace?"

-"Aren't you my friend on myspace?"

-"Hey I popped your myspace cherry, now let's do yours!"

Ok, so I DO have Tila Tequila as my friend. She's really my friend. Really. We used to play frisbee at the park everyday when we were kids. Anyway, let's move on to more information about me. PAKKO. Who's Pakko? Where did he come from? What the heck does he do? Well, I'll start by telling you a little bit about me. I was born and raised in the Megalopolis of Mexico City in 1975. I have also lived in Brazil as well as in the East and West coast of the US. I am a multi-cultural, trilingual fella. I am a walking and living idea machine. Heck, I even have a ritual to come up with crazy ideas for anything. I make love constantly. In the shower while sketching ideas in the fogged-up glass, in the car while listening to German Cajun Voodoo and mysterious Swamp Fever electronic music, in the kitchen while preparing Machaca dinner, at the mall while shopping for Gola Tennis Shoes, on my futon while playing Chaos Theory on X-Box, at the supermarket while buying SoBe Fuerte beverages, at Pink's Hot Dogs while ordering Guadalajara Style Hot Dogs, and even in my bedroom while trying to hack my Tivo to make it record just the TV commercials. That's my ritual, to constantly make love to crazy ideas 24 hours a day in any place. Now, what am I like? I am smart, creative, friendly & crazy. Weeeee....!
