My Interests

Travel, both, near and far. Dogs, dogs, and more dogs. Anything Vegas-related. The Desert Southwest. Native American art and culture. Weather-watching and star-gazing. Observing people and, generally pondering the human condition (always interesting, frequently amusing, never boring). Collecting antique silverware, charms and matrioszki (Russian nesting dolls), old vinyl LP's of all genres, kitchen magnets and keychains. Gardening. I am a grade-A COASTER-FANATIC!! I collect roller coaster and theme park ride pov DVD's, and watch them freqently. Robb and Elissa Alvey's website, "THEME PARK REVIEW", is like a second home to me. I admire the Alvey's. To me, personally, they are heroes...they don't even know the good they've done...

I'd like to meet:

Interested in meeting people from around the world exchanging thoughts, sharing ideas and learning from each other.

Music:

I guess I gravitate mostly towards Country/Cowboy Rock & Pop; but, my preferences range from: Beck to The Corrs to Kelly Clarkson to Usher and Fifty Cent back to Brahms and Bach and, especially, Jazz. ALL Jazz. And Zydeco (yeah, ZYDECO! aaiiiii!} Another reason I love visiting THEME PARK REVIEW: the music! The musical selections for the videos available at that site are fabulous! It's a glorious audio-visual feast. I can get lost there for hours.

Movies:

My tastes range from Pixar productions to classic horror and suspense, to Warner Brothers cartoons. ..

Television:

Seinfeld-fan. Benny Hill adorer. Monty Python maniac. Lover of BBC comedies. I enjoy National Geographic, Survivor, Big Brother and The Amazing Race (so sue me, I love 'em). Mythbusters and the X-Testers are favorites of mine. My guilty pleasure is any program delving into the paranormal and the obscure. I am currently in the midst of attempting to dub all of my videocassettes onto DVD discs and this project has, seemingly, taken on a life of its own.

Books:

Currently reading 4 Carl Hiassen novels (simultaneously). I enjoy reading the Skeptical Inquirer and Web summaries written by Miss Alli. (She is a comedic genius.)

Heroes:

My parents, for all they endured. Anyone with the courage and conviction to face the rigors of life with honor, grace and dignity and not opt for the easy way out, that is,through slacking, slouching or sliding...
