"Singing for me is a forum that allows my truest self expression to stand up! Only in a song can I pull back the covers and expose my deepest hurts, my joys, my true desires and even my disappointments. I also believe there's a secret place in every performance that can only be found by pressing through the fear, the critic in all of us, the technical problems and all other distractions. I liken it to the women with the issue of blood who pressed her way through the crowd to touch the hem of Christ's garment. In that touch, in that connection, in that secret place my troubles meet God's awesomeness and His power is released in me. In that place, every obstacle fades to black and it's just my heart speaking to God's heart and God's heart speaking back. There, I tap into the creativity of the Creator Himself.
