2. THE EXERCISES
At present, VDS offers over 1600 exercises online. Each exercise consists of a Video, a Score, a Commentary, a Description, and a Midi-file.
· Video: The teacher explains and then executes the exercise. The camera angles allow the student to clearly see and understand the movements they need to carry out. The student can play the video as many times as he or she deems necessary.
. Score: An essential support tool for the video which allows for a more complete analysis of the exercise. It can be printed out.
· Commentary: The transcription of the teacher’s comments.
· Description: VDS provides additional information on the exercises and specific suggestions.
· Midi-file: The audio version of the exercise which can be downloaded onto the student's computer.
3. DIFFERENT LEVELS
The exercises cover from the most basic introduction to rhythm to more specialized information for professionals of the industry and are classified according to the proficiency level (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced) and musical style (Fusion, Afro-Cuban, Jazz, Percussion, Pop and Rock).
4. THE METHOD
Thanks to a complete Study Guide of all exercises available in VDS, students can easily find the exercise(s) that correspond to their specific needs and interests. They can easily set up a study plan with the help of this guide and place lessons of interest in the area "My Classroom." The exercises can be accessed from any computer with internet connection. Every exercise concentrate on one specific issue, which makes it very easy to find the lesson you need. Our website is continuesly evolving, and we are opening up new departments as well as improving existing ones constantly.
