I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I travel throughout North America, Europe and Asia. I present music-based programs of all types - some for education, some for wellness, some for fun. I have written several books and produced a number of DVDs. I recently started working with an on-line music lessons website (workshoplive.com). For me, music and dance are tools for wellness and spritual awareness. I also work with kids and teach music and movement in the ORff Approach. Most of the music I play and listen to is traditional, from other cultures. Being from Oakland California, my musical roots are in Funk and Rock. I've played with Barry Manilow (Don't laugh - he's a great musician!), Yanni (OK - Now you can laugh), Kenny Loggins, Chante Moore, Dr. John, John Mayall, Benise, but my claim-to-fame must be those two Muppet Albums "Kermit UnPigged" and "Muppet Beach Party"! I've also toured a bunch and done a lot of sessions around LA. I still do some gigs in town, but these days am focused on my own projects, media, and programs.
I live in Los Angeles with my two dogs, Rumi and Japser.

If you can get it, the Casa de Torres Pinot Noir is wonderful - a little pricey at around $50, but well worth every peso.

Business as usual

On this anniversary of the 911 attacks. I still don't hear anyone in public office addressing the issue of WHY we were attacked in the first place. The President says it's because "They [terrorists] h...
