Please, DO NOT ASK ME TO ADD YOUR BAND! i'm sure you guys rocked the elks lodge last september, but don't bother. i have friends that are DJ's, friends in bands, i read the play-lists and the fanzines, if your music is something i want to hear, i will find you. don't ask me to add you band, because, most likely, you'll be wasting you time.

Most recently I have been listening heavily to dark EBM/Industrial, some death rock, and metal. I am also a huge classical music freak, especially classical piano music. Some of the music I've been listening to most recently are Velvet Acid Christ, Suicide Commando, Psyclon Nine, Unter Null, Grendel, God Module, Amducia, Hocico, :Wumpscut:, Skinless, the Cruxshadows, Funker Vogt, Das Ich, Razed In Black, Cinema Strange, Lamb of God, Deep Eynde, and Children of Bodom. Some of my older favorites are My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult, KMFDM, Nietzer Ebb, Front 242, VNV Nation, Wolfshiem, Fudge Tunnel, Ministry, Bauhaus, Tones on Tail, Bella Morte etc.
Some of my favorite movies are Fritz Lang's "M", "Nosfuratu", and all the George Ramero movies. Loved "I Zombie," good movie. feels like my life. I thought "House of a Thousand Corpses" was a great modern horror movie. As far as comedy, I love Monty Python movies. I think most of what comes out of Hollywood today is garbage. I've watch a lot of foriegn films, documentaries and art-films.
Call me a snob, I don't care. I liked Pi.
Shauwn of the Dead: great movie. those crazy brits...
fuck the mind control machine.
I don't watch T.V. Except for the History Channel, C-Span, and a little Comedy Central on my down-times at work. I don't even have cable at home. Reality T.V. makes me vomit. I'd generally rather read a book, or catch up on dentistry that I have been putting off than watch T.V.
I'm in Grad School right now so I generally don't have a lot of time for pleasure reading because my reading during the semester is generally pretty heavy.
some books i really love and that have influenced my writing are: The "Wake," Faulkner's "The Sound and the Fury," Woolf's "To the Lighthouse" Barth's "Welcome to the Funhouse" and the plays of Pinter, Beckett and Sartre.
also, (in no semblence of order, or consideration of genre) Goa Xingjian, Kurt Vonnegut, Tom Robbins, Henry James, Coleridge, William Langland, Orwell, Wilde, Douglas Copeland, Carolyn Forsche, Pynchon, Plath, Sexton, Luaren Slater, William Blake,
i just read "Wide Sargasso Sea" by Jean Rhys, that's a great book, you should check it out.
