--I'm Jimmy Da Geek, a former Honolulu radio DJ who is noted for my parody songs and remixes. In the late 80s, I started out with the group 3 Local Boyz. Our tunes "Me So Hungry" and "Rice Rice Baybee" became well-known in Hawaii (and everywhere else locals migrate to). After several albums with 3 Local Boyz, I went solo in 1996 with an album called "So So Haolefied." The CD, which featured popular Hawaiian DJ Kutmaster Spaz, included parodies of "O.P.P." ("Go Shi Shi") and "Nuttin' But Love" ("Nuttin' But Bugs"). It's now available for sale as a download on HawaiiTunes.com. In August, I started writing some new songs and burned up the Hawaiian airwaves with "Talk Like a Pinoy," which is a parody of "Lean Like a Cholo." It's still being played exclusively on 102.7 Da Bomb in Honolulu.
--In September, my second song of the year dropped. "Love Dem (Local Girlz)" was once again exclusive on 102.7 Da Bomb. It's a take off of the smash song/dance craze "Crank That (Soulja Boy)."
My third song of '07 was called "Put Li Hing." It's a parody of Fat Joe's "Make It Rain."
I did a song for the U.H. Warriors back in December called "12 and Oh." It's a parody of Flo Rida's "Low," and talks about the team's undefeated regular season.
