Cantora natural de Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais. Iniciou sua trajetória musical aos 13 anos em um coral, onde aprimorou seus conhecimentos de técnica vocal. Aos 19 anos já se apresentava em bares e casas noturnas de sua cidade natal.
Em 2005 estreiou o primeiro espetáculo de sua autoria, Música Mulata Brasileira, uma mistura intrigante entre a música e o teatro cujo tema central é a cultura afro-brasileira, suas vertentes musicais, todo misticismo e sincretismo religioso que envolvem essa manifestaçao.
O projeto circulou por várias cidades mineiras e fluminenses, além de sua atuaçao social, promovendo a cultura afro-brasileira nas escolas estaduais e municipais de Juiz de Fora e regiao.
No ano seguinte LÃvia participou da abertura oficial do 9º Festival de Cinema de Tiradentes. Iniciou também suas apresentaçoes em rodas de samba de no ano de 2006. No repertório da artista, influências do samba, musica afro-brasileira, samba jazz e da música regional. Levando ao público a autêntica e genuÃna cultura brasileira. Utilizando de recursos teatrais e uma interpretaçao única, repleta de personalidade.
Em 2007, a cantora levou seus projetos para o velho mundo. Viagem marcada por apresentações em lugares importantes, como as renomadas salas de concerto Favela Chic e Divan Du Monde, em Paris. Além de cantar em redutos da música brasileira e latina em Barcelona.

LÃvia Lucas, 25 years old, has been tracing a notorious musical trajectory in Brazil. She has played not only in festivals and in several musical events but she also performed as the opening live act at the internationally well-known Tiradentes Film Festival, which takes place in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais.
LÃvia, who is a native from Juiz de Fora Brazil, started her career at the age of 13 when she became a member of a church chorus in her hometown. During this time she was able to improve her knowledge of voice techniques. Later by the age of 19, LÃvia started singing in a local band and she also developed her first music project as a trio, with a violinist and a bassist. LÃvia’s trio used to play a varied repertoire of MPB (Musica Popular Brasileira) and they attracted a wide audience to the places where they used to perform.
One year later and by the end of the two music projects, LÃvia accepted the invitation to enter the band called “Zé do Blackâ€, playing Black Music. The band achieved a big success in the local music scene and soon raised the interest of the public and also the media.
By 2005, LÃvia and her project called “Música Mulata Brasileira†was selected for the Festival “RaÃzes†(“Rootsâ€), which is annually promoted by the Lei Estadual de Incentivo à Cultura de Minas Gerais. The first concert took place at the Teatro Pró Música in Juiz de Fora, which was a success and well received by the audience. This was just the beginning of a long journey that continued along other cities throughout the region, such as Belo Horizonte, Tiradentes, São João Del Rey, and other cities in the state of Rio de Janeiro.
In March 2006, she was honoured for her contribution to the local culture by the city hall of Juiz de Fora. Also in 2006, LÃvia started a new project to save Sambas De RaÃz (Root Samba), Choro and also other types of Samba that originate from this style, from being forgotten. One year after having launched her project “Música Mulata Brasileiraâ€, LÃvia celebrated its success with a non-profit show in the MAM (Museum of Modern Art Murilo Mandes).
Recently she took part in the event Central do Samba at the Cine Teatro Central in Juiz de Fora. This place is well recognized not only in Minas Gerais but also throughout Brazil for its cultural history.
By the end of the year, LÃvia Lucas was developing several projects in varied areas such as: Afro Music, Samba, MPB, socio-cultural projects, among others. At present LÃvia sings Samba and MPB in Europe. She has performed at well known places like Favela Chic (Paris), Divan Du Monde (Paris) and Sala Bikini (Barcelona), aiming to promote not only her work, but also the culture and the good Brazilian music…
