Obviously Hardcore music never really took off in westchester the way we thought it did,screamcore as it sounds is the big thing here,i didnt like it the kids did.
No matter all the kids still called themselves hardcore and i booked some of the best hardcore bands in ny,yet the kids didnt see those shows cause they didnt know hardcore bands.......
For most of you in westchester and putnam-dutchess you consider any song with a breakdown in it a hardcore song?Did you even know the band Breakdown was one of the greatest hardcore bands? No i didnt think so.
Anyway I met alot of great people while we did our underground shows at club passion,even if i didnt like your music or your style one thing hardcore promotes is a family of unity and you all bacame a part of my family,even some of the old school bands dont practice what hardcore is all about so i guess we should be greatful for what we had,I will be promoting bands,helping them get gigs,etc...Good luck to all the bands who ever graced our club from a crowded club and to an empty club,it was all about having a place to play!!!
Now have fun paying 12 bucks at other places to see shitty bands.
