About Me

I like cute and spooky things from skulls to butterflies under glass. I'm a knit-a-holic, movie fiend, vanilla latte junkie. I miss going to shows, and having thrift store shopping buddies.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Westside knitters. Kids who don't think it's weird that I want to hand spin my own yarn. Crafty types in general.People who can appreciate alt. country and indie rock -- who won't laugh when I mangle "Freebird" on the guitar...maybe will even play along.Art house movie fanatics, filmmakers, and taxidermists. Seriously, if you are in your 20s, live in LA, and practice taxidermy I want to meet you. Same goes for encaustic painters.

Music:

Drive By Truckers, The Handsome Family, Le Tigre, Magnetic Fields, Neutral Milk Hotel, Depeche Mode, The Cure, The Mountain Goats, Grey de Lisle...and old school goth/industrial like Sisters of Mercy, Skinny Puppy, Front 242, etc.

Movies:

Anything by Wong Kar-Wai. Smart horror films. Takeshi Miike. The French New Wave.Favorites from last year:Devil's Rejects, The Descent, History of Violence, Kekexili: Mountain Patrol, OldBoy, Turtles Can Fly (totally tragic!), Murderball, The 40 Year Old Virgin, You Me and Everyone We Know.I feel like there are more to add to the list, but I can't think of them. This could mean that I need to keep better track of the films I watch, or I should stop using up brain storage space with films like House of Wax.

Television:

My Name is Earl, The Shield, House MD, Prison Break.
