a would-be rock star stuck in the body of the ugliest guy you can imagine. thankfully, my endless sorrows and self-doubts get regularly overwhelmed by a steady diet of toys, comic books, and nerf products.
living in a superficial universe, i do enough good stuff (basketball, listening to music, buying the "right" jeans) to earn a free pass. for now. no one ever looks bad at the beach . . . except that fat guy at venice. goddamn.
no food in the world has come close to competing with the two cheese enchilada dinner combo at any of southern california's roadside mexican dive restaurants, though only cuca's green burritos are truly unbeatable.
fletch and dennis miller inspired my journalistic ambitions; dr. peter venkman and lucifer inspired my ethics. i've never met anyone who hasn't cheated at least a little bit at monopoly.
i like to think i know what's good and what's fake plastic consumer crap. that said, i'm a big fan of avril lavigne, lindsay lohan, and red bull.
i've often been accused of being a self-aggrandizing, condescending, sexist, misogynistic dinosaur asshole. but that's just my shtick.

I'd like to meet:

grant morrison. i'd ask him a writing question, he'd respond wittily in his thick scottish brogue, and i'd continue asking questions. the entire conversation would be utterly incomprehensible, due to different accents and our respective histories of drug use. but it would glorious.
