Band Members: Grabstein is a dark ambient project based in Switzerland but originally from Dublin,Ireland.GRABSTEIN attempts through manipulated noise and samples to portray the major and individual events that took place during WW2 and also to question and analyze the act of war itself.The WARGASM album is a collection of manipulated sounds and samples with the last track being open to the listeners own interpretation.Described as "an industrial album in the true sense of the word" and an "impressive/oppressing document of war" by Obliveon webzine reviewer it is limited to 50 copies.The second album(self titled) is due for release this month(MAY).A Dark ambient/classical soundtrack to the invasion of Holland and the story of Anne frank.It will also contain two remixes by SHADOWS AND DUST and HAILDUSK as well as an alternative intro and unreleased track which didnt make it on to the album.It will be limited to 100 copies(individually hand numbered).
Grabstein have also appeared and will appear on various compilations including the skullline v/a "Beweine dein madel" 2CD, Bone Structures "404 noise terror" and a new CF compilation.My special thanks go to shadows and dust,the cf department,narr,my friends and Natja k. who has been an inspiration and sometimes collaborator on my work and to SKULLLINE records for their support..I am also a DJ in my spare time playing 80's,BATCAVE,DEATHROCK,NEOFOLK,MARTIAL INDUSTRIAL,POST PUNK,METAL,DEATH COUNTRY AND MORE.I have been RESIDENT at: Visage(IRL),SINDROME(IRL),DARK ENTRIES(NL),ALTAR-NATION(IRL) and been a guest DJ in: DOMINION(IRL),PURGATORY(IRL),RAYGUN(IRL) as well as DJ sets before/after various concerts by SHEEP ON DRUGS,CRUXSHADOWS,DAVID J. and many more....I am currently available to DJ at GOTHIC/ALTERNATIVE events in Switzerland so please get in touch if interested...BELOW ARE SOME FLYERS FOR PAST EVENTS I HAVE BEEN INVOLVED WITH....
