I am here for Friends

About Me

I love music... art, life experience, humanity, things a bit left of center...listening to my son sing and play the guitar, recording music, playing, singing, being in nature, watching for God's road signs, cooking and creating things.I am on a quest to learn and discover and share as much as I can both before and after I die, and to try to leave this world a better place than the way i found it.

Random acts of kindness create amazing ripples in the universe as they move from one person to the next. I pick up trash off the sidewalk and don't throw away extra napkins from take out restaurants.

My Interests

spiritual enlightenment

What can I say? I love penguins!

I'd like to meet:

Christ, Buddha, Joni Mitchell, and er um some people who believe in world peace and our ability to use our powers both seen and unseen to achieve it.

Music:

Wes Montgomery, James Brown, Parliament Funkadelic, The Velvet Underground, Joni Mitchell, Riboflavin, John Lennon, Seraphim, Led Zeppelin, Hendrix, Muddy Waters, Jamiroquoi, Elvis Costello, Bruce, Dylan, The Doors, and my own shtuff, of course... and just about everything except metal grunge and emo

Movies:

What The Bleep,A Clockwork Orange, The Producers, Shawshank Redemption, The Matrix, Bladerunner, The Red Dwarf, Marriage Italian Style, The Seven Samurai (original BW), Liar Liar, Dumb and Dumber, Baron von Munch-Hausen, Yellow Submarine, and my friend's works mostly indie but some major...they know who they are.

Television:

Too much sucks your brain like a vortex, but if pressed to say, The Weather Channel during hurricane alerts,Criminal Minds, Medium, House, Saved, Without a Trace, The Sopranos and Crossing Jordan. I identify with strong female heroines a bit left of center. I hate watching the news, as it blasts my psyche with overstimulation of negative forces put on display by anchor puppets of the proletariat. I like to smile and laugh and be instrospective and alert to the undercurrents which cause said negative forces, rather than be swayed by and perpetuated by the masses who are basically asleep at the wheel.

Books:

National Geographic's Field Guide to Birds of North America,Zorba The Greek, The Essential Rumi, Between Heaven and Earth - A Guide to Chinese Medicine, The Tao is Silent,Why Do Men Have Nipples?

Heroes:

My parents for supporting my dreams and (mostly)catching me when I fell, my sons,Wah Z,Buddha, Abbey Hoffman, Sam Peckinpaw, Ansel Adams, Gertrude Stein,George Sand, Chopin, Rumi, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Jean-Paul Sartre, and people who realize New Orleans needs all of our help to save her
