The ocean. Houses 100 years old or older. Bright colorful rooms, rose bushes. gardening, nice neighbors, not nosey ones-hate those. Spell checking-because I can't spell for beans. The words Quirky and Calamity. Buying and selling awesome handmade things on Etsy.com.
No one. The more people I meet the more I like my dog, and she can be a real bitch! That's not really true - I just think its funny. I would like to meet crafty people, people using their talents in an inspiring way. I'd like to meet childrens picture book writers. I'd like to meet people with children. I would like to meet Angelique Houtkamp, (www.salonserpent.com) I'd like to meet people whom are in the market for awesome soy candles.
This is my son singing a Bouncing Souls song,
I like to watch movies. I like some movies enough to watch over and over again. Now be honest, do you really care which ones they are.
Hubert Selby JR., Henry Rollins, David Sedaris, Shel Silverstein, Rosemary Wells, Daniel Kirk, Betty and Michael Paraskevas, Art/Writing/Self help/craft books - I can't get enough of em! I just finished Dharma Punx and now I'm starting Against the Stream. I've also been reading George Orwell's 1984.
My husband and children are my heroes. No matter how many times I tell them, "put this on and stand there" or "read this and tell me what you think", or "look at this and tell me what your think" they ALWAYS do it with a smile -regardless of how ridiculous the task may be. And trust me, the task is usually plenty ridiculous. They wear the clothing I make to school, they sleep with blankets I make, they live with things I made hanging from every wall - they are COMPLETELY surrounded by my junk. And they never complain.
