I do consulting work. I have been a model and was featured on various magazine covers. I create accessories and run a small fashion design business. I deejay. I throw theme parties. I travel. I am a vegetarian. I go to the gym. I play cello. I smell like gingerbread cookies. I am a quintessential Scorpio. I was born on "Devil's Night" in the Year of the Cock. I always live every day like it is my last.
Explanation renders the exotic mundane.
I'd like to meet:
I enjoy meeting people who are brutally honest, outrageously creative, unabashedly funny and wildly adventurous.
Music:
I like Gothic and Industrial Music, New Wave Music, Darkambient Music, Eighties Music, Bauhaus, Sex Gang Children, Siouxie & The Banshees, Rasputina, Front 242, My Life With Thrill Kill Kult... the list goes on and on and on. I used to only deejay that which was recorded before 1996, but I have become a lot more open-minded about things lately and just might surprise you the next time you come to one of my gigs. Don't even ask me about my favorite band, because it's impossible to choose.
Song Of The Moment: Feindflug - "Roter Schnee"
Movies:
I like any movie with Audrey Hepburn, as well as Tipping The Velvet, Giulietta Degli Spiriti, The Adventures of Priscilla - Queen Of The Desert, Connie and Carla, Blue Velvet, Brotherhood of the Wolf, Dangerous Beauty, The Dark Crystal, Elizabeth, Moulin Rouge, Plunkett and McLean, Memoirs Of A Geisha, Serenity, movies with fabulous costuming... again, the list goes on.
Movie Of The Moment: MirrorMask
Television:
I don't watch television because cable is a waste of money.I have enjoyed watching recorded episodes of Firefly (fave!!!), Absolutely Fabulous, Black Adder, Monty Python, Red Dwarf, The Young Ones, The X-Files, Six Feet Under, Carnivale, House MD... and so on and so forth. A television show has to be incredibly interesting to be worthy of my attention.
Show Of The Moment: Battlestar Galactica
Books:
I like anything written by Janet Arnold, Margaret Atwood, Pamela Dean, Neil Gaiman, Elizabeth Hand, Gregory Maguire, Terry Pratchett, Marion Zimmer-Bradley, Laurell K. Hamilton... as well as many others.
Book Of The Moment: Laurell K. Hamilton - A Stroke of Midnight (again)
Heroes:
I do not put people on pedestals. Human beings are faillable. However, anyone who pushes the envelope and marches to the beat of their own drummer tends to make a good impression on me.
