I was born and raised in a small town off of Highway 2 in Washington State. I grew up riding horses, playing in the dirt, feeding the sheep and writing songs. When I became a teenager the first thing I wanted to do was get out of that small town. The next stop for me at seventeen? Los Angeles. Which is where I discovered that the sun actually exists and what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. Make Music.
After three years in the trenches of Burbank, I wanted to move back to Seattle due to a potent blend of discontentment and homesickness. For a few years after that, I played out around town, at local haunts like The Triple Door, Tractor Tavern, and Nuemo’s. The highlight of my Northwest tour days was hitting the road with Eric Church opening for him. A lot of that time back home was spent writing new songs and just living life. I recorded my first record, Married to the Melody in Seattle in 2005 and am working on the second album right now in Nashville, TN.
The new record, One More Broken String, will have songs that I have co-written with my pal Brian Oaks, I will be co-producing a few of our tunes with him as well. The new songs "Pennies in the Ocean" and "Shameless fool" are products of that collaboration. I am looking forward to much more co-writing in the future.
I am happily married and living in Nashville, Tennessee. I am working in Publishing and will be doing writer’s nights around town as much as possible, waiting for that good ol’ ship to come in.

EXTRA INFORMATION ON MEGAN MUNROE: In addition to her own album, Megan has placed two of her compositions, "24" and "Ghost" in an upcoming indie film by the esteemed film company Director’s Limited and has had her song "Hello" performed on an aired episode of MTV’s Laguna Beach. Although music has been an emphasis, Megan has worked on several TV/Film projects including lead and major supporting roles in the films "Lost on the B side", Mixing Karma and The Standard V.15.".
