But if you asked Mike Wells to describe himself and his music, he would be likely to say he is just a storyteller in song.
His most recent release, “Majestic” is in rotation on radio stations in the United States, Mikes highly anticipated sophomore release, a collection of songs that range from intimate worship to powerhouse rock, is in the final stages of recording and is set to be released in 2008. Mike is finishing up work on Hee Haw Star LuLu Romans new CD, a collection of songs by Mike, a brand new Dottie Rambo song and one or two traditionals.
Writing songs and playing guitar since he was 14 years old, Mike quickly caught the ear of E street Band Bassist Garry Tallent, Producer and longtime right hand man for Bruce Springsteen. About this time Mike was contacted by Warner Electra Asylum vice president Randy Talmadge who had heard a tape of Mike and asked him to come to Nashville for a meeting..after auditioning with "Just me and my guitar" as he remembers... Mike signed with Warner/ Refuge (at the time Warner Brothers pop division...) Wells soon found himself being called out. feeling led to write and perform songs that drew people to the healing & saving power of Jesus. At the moment Mike is busy ministering & leading worship at two shore town churches.

Majestic is a brilliant work of art for todays listener. The lyrical content throughout the album is heart warming and inspiring for any christian today. Majestic has great hooks from track 1 to 10. It is rare to hear such an album with so many great songs throughout.
